Syncplicity - Syncplicity: Effortless Backup, Synchronization, and Sharing

Excellent sync service! Fast, easy to understand and use. I wish they would offer a little more free space (they do offer a 2 gb free account). Luckily I have a free 8 gb account, more than enough for my needs. I used iDrive up till now, it's dependable but I have difficulties understanding exactly the logic behind their approach... Go syncplicity!

Cluuz Search

Cluuz Search

Wow! You need to try this! A new type of search engine...

According to them: "The difference between standard search engines and Cluuz is in the fact that Cluuz does some work for you. A standard search engine shows links in a list. Cluuz instead peers into the searched web pages, extracts important terms and images, clusters them and gives them in chart format (semantic graph) and in a tag cloud where you can click on any entity to further focus your search."

Research casts doubt on viral marketing, Long Tail - Information World Review

Viral marketing - a myth? Research shows viral marketing to be overrated. Well, the media (all types of it) always does this. That does not mean Web 2.0 is dead, just that we have to... research it more.

Enterprise Adoption of Web 2.0: It's Happening - ReadWriteWeb

Enterprise Adoption of Web 2.0: It's Happening - ReadWriteWeb

As I said in a previous post, "it's happening!" One really interesting observation is that it appears that businesses here in Oklahoma (or at least around OKC) are slow not only in using Web 2.0 tools, but in using Internet! This really needs to happen, since if you don't follow progress, you will be left behind!

Don't local businesses believe Internet brings customers? A good research question...

What Is Crowdsourcing? on BNET

Crowdsourcing: the name is self explanatory. The question is... can this be a business idea? Should somebody be able to make money out of this? Or, looking at Open Office, Firefox, and R, should the results of this type of endeavors be... free?
